The Department of Community Partnerships offers students opportunities in Community Engaged Scholarship (CES) through service learning, community service, and community-based research.
Through mutual arrangements, The Chicago School helps community organizations to build capacity by providing direct service, training, supervision, and research. The community organizations—known as High Impact Partners—in turn provide students experience in the social political, governmental, and multicultural world of social service. As a result, faculty and students are able to channel the skills they teach and learn in the classroom directly into the community through community-engaged projects with real world results.
