Flexible Spending Accounts

Type of Benefit: Flexible Spending Accounts allow employees to set aside pre-tax dollars and be reimbursed for out-of-pocket family care expenses – up to $2,500 per year for healthcare and up to $5,000 per year for dependent care. 

Enrollment Procedures:  The decision to participate must be made on a calendar year basis and deductions are legally required for the entire year.  If an employee experiences a life status change (marriage, divorce, birth or adoption, etc.) and would like to change their election, contact a member of Human Resources. 

Effective Date:  New hires are eligible the first of the month following the first date of employment.

Election Changes: Changes to Transportation FSA elections can be made by contacting a member of Human Resources.
