d) Screening Process

3) HR runs job ad

a)  Internally
b)  Externally

4) HR screens resumes and candidates

a) Candidates invited to The Chicago School (TCS)

i) Complete Job Application & Background Check Form
ii) Receive TCS booklet and & Benefit Summary

5) HR takes top candidates to Hiring Manager

6) Hiring Manager decides on candidate

7) Hiring Manager completes Personnel Action Form - Staff with HR

8) HR completes Reference/Background checks

9) HR makes job offer

a) HR sends candidate

i) 2 copies of the letter
ii) I-9 form
iii) Federal and State tax forms

b) HR sends Hiring Manager

i) Copy of Offer Letter
ii) Supervisor Checklist

10) HR notifies applicable departments via email to begin their processes

a) Facilities, Finance, IT, Payroll, Library, and Communications
b) President’s Office (Director level hires and above)

11) On-Boarding Process

a) HR will conduct New Hire Orientation during the first hour of the employee’s first day

i) During orientation, HR will cover the history of TCS, important policies, & benefits
