Type of Coverage: The Chicago School provides life insurance and AD & D to all full-time employees in the amount of $50,000, from Reliance Standard, www.rsli.com. 

Effective Date: Coverage for eligible employees will automatically begin on the first day of the month following the date of hire.

Cost to Employees:  The Chicago School pays the entire cost of this plan.

Voluntary Life Insurance

Type of Coverage: The Chicago School offers additional, voluntary life insurance to full-time employees through Reliance Standard, www.rsli.com. 

Effective Date: Coverage will be effective on the first of the month following the first date of employment.

Benefits: 

Coverage Summary:

• Employee: $10,000 increments up to $500,000
• Spouse: $10,000 increments up to $500,000
• Child(ren): 
  • $1,000 available for children 14 days to 6 months
  • Increments available $2,500, $5,000, $7,500 and $10,000 available for children 6 mos. to 20 yrs.
  • If child is a full-time student, coverage may continue to age 26

Cost to Employees:  Varies, depending on age.
